New "Price Quotes" Feature in RetailDeck® Helps Drive In-Store Sales for Independent Retailers

Harnesses local stores’ greatest strength: customer relationships

Delivering on their promise of Continuous Sustainable Improvement, Retailer Web Services (RWS) announced the addition of Price Quotes, the latest feature added to the RetailDeck® app to help independent retailers build customer relationships and drive sales at the store level. RetailDeck, the company’s flagship product and leading app for appliance retail salespeople, is used by more than 6,500 unique users to view product information, track volatile guide and market pricing, find consumer rebate forms and create price tags for over one million SKUs.

With the new Price Quotes feature, a salesperson can further assist a prospective customer who’s not ready to make a purchase by creating a quote to take home about the specific product(s) they’re interested in. The quote contains product information and pricing, salesperson’s contact information, and any notes or reminders from the salesperson pertaining to upcoming discounts and/or other discussion points.

With just a few clicks, salespeople can attach additional references such as preloaded spec sheets and rebate forms. The quote can be printed or shared with the prospect via text or email. Additionally, the Price Quotes feature eliminates the need for salespeople to open their email or use their phones; quotes are sent automatically from RetailDeck.

Preparing the quote together provides a natural way to collect valuable information like cell phone numbers and expected date of purchase."

According to Gilbert, sending the quote electronically by email or text message demonstrates how easy and convenient it is to work with the store, and helps an independent retailer stay top of mind during the prospect’s consideration cycle.

"It helps our customers by clearly listing every item of their potential purchase so there are no questions. It also provides photos and basic measurements, which are a nice plus."

In the RetailDeck app, creating a Price Quote is as simple as:

  • 1) Selecting the models
  • 2) Entering the customer’s information, prices and any special notes
  • 3) Sending the Price Quote via text, email or print—all through RetailDeck.

By the end of 2017, retailers will have the added benefit of being alerted when a prospect opens a quote sent via email or text, making it easier to know which prospects to actively follow up with and when.
